From My Facebook Post yesterday after watching  Debi (2018) Film at Serra Theatres, Milpitas, California. -- Just came out of watching Debi! I am speechless!! So nice work. Sound, lighting, cinematography. And yes, while everyone did very good acting, Jaya surpassed all! The movie crosses my already very high expectations! And what a lovely crowd of San Francisco Bay Area was there. Now let’s start demanding “Nishithini” from Anom Bishwash! Also a nice gesture from Bioskope Film’s  Naushaba Rubna Rashid  apa and Raj Hameed  Bhai. I got a bioskope film t-shirt and many thanks from them for the highest number of tickets purchased. I am honored and would support such nice initiatives in future.

My problem is not that I can't achieve my target. My problem is to decide which target to hit! How do you prioritize and reduce your goals to a focused few? Let's say you have 20 equally excellent food. You can't eat all of those - no way. And it's very difficult to find which 3 are most tasty amongst all these without tasting each of those 20. Do you taste all 20 a little bit then? In that case you won't actually eat any of the food properly. Or do you deliberately decide he re are 3 out of those 20 that I am going to eat? Which 3 then? Randomly? How do you decide? I have read plenty of books, countless pages to find the answer - its not written anywhere. Everyone says once you fix your goal, how to achieve it. Well that's easy. No one says how to fix your goal in the first place (actually some people do say but that doesn't answer my thirst). Having options is a bless most of times, but for me sometimes, having options is the real pain! Any help?

I think Amir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan 's long awaiting Thugs of Hondostan is going to break all time Indian box office records. Currently the record is held by Amir Khan's Dangal which has made 300 to 310 million us dollars (2000 to 2100 crosses indian rupees). This I won't be surprised if crosses 400 or 500 million us dollars. There are many reasons why I think so. The most important reason, of course, is that you are getting 2 greatest Indian actors together competing in act in 2 different very string characters - Amir Khan and Amitabh. They have never worked together in the past, and both of their fans would love to find out who acted better (a very subjective call though). Second the plot is very near and dear to Indians, and all the Indian sub-continent people - the British invasion of India and how some natives fought for freedom. A dead cat bounce refers to the phenomenon of financial markets when we see a temporary recovery in a stock (or a crypto currency) price or see a temporary market rally after a significant downward trend. For example, let's assume the market has been falling over the last ten weeks but there is a broad market rally in week 11. The rally is considered a dead cat bounce if it's short-lived and the market continues to fall again in week 12. So does only the dead cat bounce, not dead dog or alive cat?!

The butterfly effect is the idea that small things can have non-linear impacts on a complex system. The concept is imagined with a butterfly flapping its wings in China and causing a typhoon in Texas. Of course, a single act like the butterfly flapping its wings cannot cause a typhoon. Small events can, however, serve as catalysts that act on starting conditions.  So we start going looking for butterflies before they can flap wings? :D

The story has implications for a variety of human interactive situations. A prisoner’s dilemma is an interactive situation in which it is better for all to cooperate rather than for no one to do so, yet it is best for each not to cooperate, regardless of what the others do. I wonder the whole dillema and the game will be thrown out of the window if one of the 2 players is large hearted or sacrificial. They don't find such people existing on earth in Economics or Psychology? :o

The Malthusian Trap  or population trap argues that as population increases, the world wouldn’t be able to sustain crop production to feed the ever-growing population. It  also states the sustainability problem that income gains per person through advancing technologies are lost through increased growth in population. So should we try out reducing food intake by 25% on an average? Apart from an attempt to come out of malthusian trap, think of how much health benefit we are going to have as a civilization!? :D

The notion behind  Adam Smith's Invisible Hand  is  that individuals' efforts to pursue their own interest may frequently benefit society more than if their actions were directly intending to benefit society.  In general, the term  invisible hand  can apply to any individual action that has unplanned, unintended consequences, particularly those that arise from actions not orchestrated by a central command, and that have an observable, patterned effect on the community. So with that in mind, should we try to be selfish? :D

Yesterday I got robbed in broad daylight in BART on the way back from San Francisco to Fremont. I was returning with my son after playing a chess tournament at Mechanics Chess Institute at San Francisco. On the way back to Fremont, the robbery happened just before the train stopped at Hayward station. My son was in the window seat listening to iPad and I was charging my iPhone with a cable attached to my Macbook Pro laptop. Inside the BART compartment there were less than 20 people all together, 5 of them were robbers - all african americans. Those were young guys about 18 to 22 years old I guess. Just when the train started to slow down to stop at Hayward Bart station, which is 4 stops before my home station Fremont, the robbers advanced and stood just beside me. Their leader, I guess because he was the tallest and fattest, first hit in my 2 hands from up-to-down like hammers to loosen my grip on my laptop. There was no pain or surprise. I recently attended a nice get together at Producer  Eric ’s house in San Francisco Bay Area for the upcoming movie Rickshaw Girl which will be directed by  Amitabh . This will be his second movie direction after Aynabaji. I became a small investor for this film that is focused on women empowerment, paintings for rickshaw in Bangladesh. I read the book couple of weeks back when I decided to invest in it and was pleased to meet the author of the book Mitali Parkins. Amitabh and I studied Masters in Economics at Dhaka University together. As always he was so jolly and cracked lots of jokes before Eric called everyone in the party for some speeches.
